Ethan Sandusky

Senior Pastor

Pastor Ethan married his wife Maggie in 2014 and they have twin daughters, Adelaide and Cora and recently welcomed their daughter Eleanor. Ethan has an undergraduate degree from Lamar University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Seminary. His goal is to preach the Word with clarity and accuracy, promote discipleship in the church and equip parents to shepherd their children well.

  • Hunter Dickens - Minister of Music and Discipleship

    Hunter joined FBC as the Minister of Music and Discipleship in July 2025. He and his wife, Hannah, have been married since 2022 and are currently expecting their first child. Hunter has an Associate of Arts in Music from Tyler Junior College, a Bachelor of Music in Music
    Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Divinity in Worship Leadership from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He strives to lead the congregation in biblical, sacrificial worship that is expressed both in corporate singing and in how we live our lives.

  • Dustin Reeves - Youth Minister

    Dustin Reeves is the Youth Pastor at FBC. He and his wife Michelle have been married since 2015. Dustin received his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University. He loves seeing the youth grow in their relationship with Christ & bring the gospel to the world.

  • Shelly Cantwell - Financial Secretary

    Shelly joined FBC as Financial secretary in February 2025. She and her husband, Rayce, have been married for over 30 years. Shelly was a finance major at Tarleton State University before moving back to Bowie in 1997 and joining the church. Shelly loves music and singing praises to the Lord whether it be a solo, in the church choir or with the Silver Fox group.

  • DIANE WEBER- Secretary

    Diane Weber retired from teaching and coaching in Bowie ISD in 2020. She worked at Brookstone Eye Center for over 5 years before joining the staff at FBC Bowie in January of 2026. Diane is married to Scott Weber, has three children and two granddaughters. Diane has been a member of FBC Bowie since February, 2007. She teaches junior high girls’ Sunday School, and enjoys singing in the choir.

  • Daniel Chavez - Custodian

    Daniel has been a custodian for First Baptist Church since 1998. He graduated high school in Zacatecas, MX. Daniel has been married to Maria for over 35 years and they have three daughters: Melina, Lucy, and Brisa and 4 grandchildren. Daniel’s ministry opportunities include praise and worship with guitar and keyboard at a new, non-denominational, Spanish-speaking church in Bowie. Hobbies include gardening, music, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Deacon body

First Baptist Church Bowie is led by the Senior Pastor and served by a body of Deacons. Deacons of FBC are duly-elected by the church body and ordained in service to the Lord, ministering to the body of Christ. FBC Deacons, as a body, aspire to “serve tables” following the qualifications set out by scripture in Acts 6 and 1 Timothy 3. The Deacons have these primary leadership responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Pastor and Staff

  2. Provide service ministry to the church body

  3. Protect and promote church unity
